Community-Supported Agriculture (CSA)

Program

The Garden City Organics CSA (Community-Supported Agriculture) Program provides local, organic, seasonal produce to the CSRA community. Consider it a subscription for fresh vegetables.

CSA subscriptions run for six weeks. We offer weekly produce shares, and, in addition, a protein & dairy share and/or specialty goods share. As small-farm growers, Garden City Organics grows some of the vegetables provided weekly. We also work with other local growers and producers to supply you with the freshest seasonal goods. Items will vary weekly and seasonally.

Shares are available for pick-up Thursday through Saturday at the Garden City Organics shop, located at 1034 Broad Street in downtown Augusta. We also provide a weekly e-newsletter containing relevant information about organics, a list of items in your share and information about where your food is coming from, and creative recipes.

Share Descriptions and Prices

(price indicates total cost for six-week subscription)

PRODUCE

$90 - Half Share (5-6 items weekly)

$150 - Full Share (8-10 items weekly)

$240 - Large Share (approx. double the Regular share)

ADDITIONAL

$120 - Protein/Dairy Share (e.g. milk, meat, cheese, tofu, butter, yogurt)

$60 - Specialty Share (e.g. granola, honey, fresh bread, and more)

Participating in the Garden City Organics CSA provides service to yourself and your community. You'll receive the freshest produce at 10% off retail prices. Supporting local farmers supports the local economy and minimizes the environmental impact of food transportation. You'll receive the health and wellness benefits of sharing in fresh, consciously-grown food!
